Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Product

What is Puchi Cat Litter made from?

Puchi Cat Litter is made from tapioca starch, corn starch, pea fibre, natural binders and baking soda. It is plant-based, biodegradable and proudly made in Australia.

Is Puchi Cat Litter safe for cats?

Yes. Puchi Cat Litter is designed to be safe for cats and households when used as directed. Our ingredients are food-grade or commonly used in pet products.

Is it low dust?

Yes. Puchi Cat Litter is formulated to produce significantly less dust compared to many traditional clay litters.

Does it control odours?

Yes. The natural ingredients and baking soda help neutralise unpleasant litter box odours while keeping the litter box fresher for longer.

Is it suitable for kittens?

Yes. However, kittens may occasionally try to eat litter. We recommend supervising young kittens during the transition period.

Clumping & Performance

Does it clump well?

Yes. Puchi Cat Litter forms strong clumps that are easy to scoop, helping keep the litter box cleaner.

Why are some clumps sticking to the bottom?

This can happen if:

  • The litter layer is too shallow.
  • The litter box is not cleaned regularly.
  • A large amount of urine is deposited in one spot.

We recommend maintaining a litter depth of at least 5–7 cm.

How often should I scoop?

For best performance, remove clumps and solid waste daily.

Automatic Litter Boxes

Is Puchi Cat Litter suitable for automatic litter boxes?

Yes. Puchi Cat Litter is designed to work with most automatic litter boxes and self-cleaning litter systems.

What litter size does Puchi use?

Our current formula uses small granules designed for strong clumping and easy sifting in automatic litter boxes.

Disposal

Is Puchi Cat Litter biodegradable?

Yes. Puchi Cat Litter is made from plant-based ingredients and is biodegradable.

Can I flush it down the toilet?

No. We do not recommend flushing Puchi Cat Litter, as plumbing systems vary and blockages may occur.

How should I dispose of used litter?

Used litter should be disposed of in household waste according to local regulations.
